Fleetwood Mosaics - Claudine Pommier - 2002 Surrey

Around 200 community members helped create this mosaic and ceramic tile work along a retaining wall at the Fleetwood Community Centre in Surrey. Lead artist Claudine Pommier organized the collaborative project in 2002.

A rather nice threshold mosaic at the entrance on The Olde Burnt Barns on London Road in the East End of Glasgow. There has reputedly been a pub on this site as far back as the 1600s. However, the current building dates from the early 1900s and the threshold mosaic presumably dates from this time.
