I've been doing my best to relax today! Playing some of Monster Hunter Rise again, it's still my personal favourite in the series. It tends to be cheaper to pick up as well and the DLC adds a ton of new content. Even if you've never played a Monster Hunter game, this one is pretty easy to get into, with plenty of tutorial missions on all the tactics and weapons you'll be using as you play. There's a ton of weapons and armour to unlock in this one when the DLC is added in, so there's plenty of good reason to level up and keep on hunting, even after the main campaign is finished. I'd definitely check it out, especially if it were on sale! 👍

It's not you, it's me. I really want to like Monster Hunter, and I've tried. I played the beta version of World, then the beta version of World: Iceborne, and now I've tried Rise as part of PS+. I think I'd really enjoy the gameplay loop, but I'm not a fan of the setting and UI (and the majority of the UX). I just can't get into it at all. It's a real shame 😢.
