Frankly, it is so stupid that Mojang decided on multiple game 'Drops' per year. Modding is one of the things that keeps this game alive. But since every new game version requires mods to be updated, modders just don't even bother updating it every time. I'm currently still playing on 1.21.1, even though it came out in August 2024.

I do sometimes watch videos or streams of people playing on other peoples' Luanti or (ew, Microsoft!) Minecraft servers. And it's cute, I like some of the projects.
I have played on servers, it can be fun as a short time activity.
But the idea of putting up with other people in my world, where I make stuff? Having to care about rules or other peoples' territory? Fuck that right into the blocky Sun above the build limit.
