Mistigram: around the turn of the century Cthulu would make his way to the West End apartment of @blaine and @maureen and they would have late-night, all-night binges on curated cultural selections. For a time it was Kieślowski’s Dekalog, and later it was the subject of this #ANSIart illustration, 1998’s #SerialExperimentsLain series. This portrait of #LainIwakura and #theWired was included in last month’s #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection.

Mistigram: Cthulu will never forget walking into the repertory cinema in downtown Vancouver’s theatre row circa 1995 and taking in a triple feature for $5. The first movie was The Crow, and the second was the hitherto unknown #FistOfTheNorthStar, or #HokutoNoKen. Once you see this flick, you never forget it (unlike whatever the third movie on the bill was), so when it was time to draw some #ANSIart for last month’s #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection, he knew where he had to go. (He uncharacteristically drew so much ANSI for this pack, sometimes his head felt like this guy’s.)
