In a recent health survey of about two thousand Black women, girls and gender non-conforming people in Canada, 77% said they felt “unheard or disbelieved” by health-care providers when accessing services. .. Mental health was found to be the most commonly diagnosed chronic condition among Black women, affecting 16% of respondents.
