Crackmon, a crack rate monitor for hashcat, now supports mdxfind in PR11.
Example: stop current attack if <100 cracks / 5 minutes.
crackmon -t 5 -c 100 hashcat {hashcat args}
or
crackmon -t 5 -c 100 mdxfind {mdxfind args}
@tychotithonus has uploaded new mdxfind binaries:
mdxfind 1.135 (2025-09-12)
- Fixed segfault in SNE128 and SNE256
- Force checks added for rhash variants

MDXfind 1.133 released:
https://www.techsolvency.com/pub/bin/mdxfind/
Highlights:
-m flag to specify hashtypes in hashcat mode syntax-f or stdin), and for candidate listsToo many to fully list, but lots of interesting stuff in the full changelog:

Always be cracking!
For the password cracking folks:
MDXfind 1.132 beta - testing needed due to significant speed improvements. Need to ensure that no solutions are dropped.
MDXfind 1.130 is released. Waffle's been busy!
Since library inclusion was significantly altered (to reduce dependencies), and mdsplit was change and rolled across all architectures after a long hiatus, testing is requested!
https://www.techsolvency.com/pub/bin/mdxfind/
Changelog:
mdxfind 1.130 (2025-08-19)
All libraries now included in all binaries (to remove dependencies).
Separate '.static' builds have been deprecated and retired.
Symlinks are provided for now, but will be removed in the future.
mdsplit maximum plaintext length increased to 80960 bytes.
Restored mention of the "just show usage" flag (-?).
This flag has been present since 1.115 but accidentally unlisted.
Explicitly made -h (without params) the way to list hash types.
Now also explicitly listed in usage as:
-h Use regex to select hash types, comma separated. OK to use multiple times
New flags:
-V Display version
New hash types: none.
Distribution page expanded significantly; feedback needed.
Hot on the heels of MDXfind v.1.127 comes a new release (1.129), with quick fixes for issues discovered during wider 1.127 testing, and a couple more algorithms.
Changelog file is here:
https://www.techsolvency.com/pub/bin/mdxfind/CHANGES.txt
... but the entire changelog entry for 1.129 is just this:
New hash types:
SHA11SALTMD5SHA256
SHA1MD5SALTPASS
SHA1SHA256MD5MD5
SHA224SHA1
Also note that the 1.127 now has a slighly expanded changelog item:
Keep on crackin'!
I don't officially speak for Waffle or Cynosure Prime, but my MDXfind mirror has been the de-facto only "official" place to get MDXfind for a while, so Waffle recently sent me an updated version directly to publish.
So ... I'm pleased to announce on their behalf that MDXfind version 1.127 is now available!
https://www.techsolvency.com/pub/bin/mdxfind/
There are 191(!) new hash types, as well as various bugfixes.
Happy cracking!
[Edit: since it happened so fast, mentioning 1.129 was just released, fixing bugs from wider testing]

#MDXfind
@timb_machine The password crackers are quite aware of this approach. The most common nested hashtypes are supported by both hashcat and John the Ripper, but it's MDXfind that really drives deeply into that space.
