Same thing for the MCH2022 Badge #sha2017 #MCH2022 #why2025

One orginal SHA2017 Badge. Happy to send it, if the Receiver covers the postal cost. #sha2017 #MCH2022 #why2025

After implementing an #RC5 infrared protocol prototype on the #MCH2022 badge and succesfully tweaking the frequency to 38kHz (because my Marantz apparently doesn't like the official 36kHz), it turns out that the infrared emitter on the #Badge is underpowered:

only from about 30cm does it read my signals 😩 -- not so useful for a remote πŸ˜‚

(BTW: The helpful #FlipperZero could use an IR-read-RAW-always mode improvement.)

The investigation done by @juerd was done outside of our knowledge. Which was not easy to keep separate. I was the only one from Badge.Team going to #WHY2025 and wanted a low profile camp. Just enjoy myself, distribute some stickers and sell #MCH2022 badges for our new foundation.

This all blew up and we had to step up our game. ...

@davedarko @calisti @timpritlove Which would have resulted in final units available in May.

This design used the same pouch cell battery as the one used for the #MCH2022 badge.

Since the #WHY2025 badge was designed by us /( @badgeteam ) under a a CERN open hardware license, this was allowed. Just as it allowed the lead designer ( @renze ) to release an updated version as the #Tanmatsu via his shop.

....

We have joystick knobs for #MCH2022 badges at the #HSNL village. #WHY2025. @badgeteam

Oh, remember those horrendous premix-cocktails at #mch2022 and/or #sha2017?

Well ain't that TschΓΆnk-inspired drink suddenly very delicious? πŸ˜‹

@scy Last time, at #MCH2022, I rode the freight tricycle borrowed by the deco team from logistics a lot, mostly to move things around, and I have to admit, it's pretty fun (I also borrowed a bike to deliver a message from @ChaosPost once). πŸ˜„
I can't tell you about annoyed people because people are basically always happy to see you when you're an angel running an errand. 😁
If you do bring it, beware, there is one path next to water with no guardrails at the edge of the camp.
