CardputerZero pocket computer combines the brains of a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with a tiny display, keyboard, and battery
The M5Stack CardputerZero is a tiny, portable computer that’s about the size of a small stack of business cards. But despite its compact size, it’s a full-fledged PC with a display, keyboard, and support for Linux-based software.
M5Stack has been selling similar devices under the Cardputer brand for a few years, but up until now they’ve featured ESP32 microprocessors and far too little memory […]

Meshtastic
* выбрать желаемый релиз (скорее всего последнюю альфу) на https://github.com/meshtastic/firmware/releases/
* скачать оттуда архив с названием вида firmware-esp32s3-*.zip (по модели чипсета)
* достать там бинарник вида firmware-m5stack-cardputer-adv-*.bin (без factory)
* [переименовать и] положить на microSD-карточку устройства
* прошить через M5Launcher
* …
* PROFIT
PCMFlow722 library enables two-way real-time HD voice over ESP-NOW with G.722 audio codec

Tanaka Masayuki's PCMFlow722 library enables (half-duplex) two-way real-time HD voice over ESP-NOW on ESP32 boards with a speaker and a microphone, effectively transforming them into walkie-talkies. The library implements a G.722 wideband codec add-on for PCMFlow lightweight audio decode and PCM flow library for Arduino, which already supports uncompressed PCM, MP3, and FLAC audio codecs. PCM and FLAC take too much bandwidth over ESP-NOW, and MP3 is not suitable for real-time audio, so the legacy G.722 audio codec was selected instead. The keyword here is "HD voice," since two-way audio over ESP-NOW was previously implemented in projects such as Atomic14's esp32-walkie-talkie (5 years ago) and, more recently, the well-documented Adafruit ESP-NOW Walkie-Talkie project, but these typically rely on lower-quality G.711 audio or compressed audio. The PCMFlowG722 library and G.722 codec enable HD voice with "7 kHz audio at 16 kHz sampling using the same 64 kbps wire budget as G.711

CardputerZero – A Raspberry Pi CM0 pocket computer for makers (Crowdfunding)

CardputerZero is a pocket-sized computer based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module Zero (CM0) and designed for makers with a 46-key matrix keyboard, a 1.9-inch LCD, HDMI video output, Fast Ethernet, three USB ports, a microphone and a speaker for voice interaction, a 14-pin GPIO header, a Grove interface, and an IR transceiver (Rx/Tx). The credit card-sized device comes in two models: CardputerZero Lite and CardputerZero. The latter also adds an 8MP camera, a 6-axis IMU, and a 32GB microSD card preloaded with the software. Both models are powered by a rechargeable 1,500 mAh LiPo battery or directly via a USB-C port. Cardputer Zero specifications: SoM – Raspberry Pi CM0 Lite SoC – Broadcom BCM2710A1 CPU – Quad-core Cortex-A53 processor @ 1.0 GHz GPU – VideoCore IV GPU supporting OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 graphics VPU – H.264/MPEG-4 1080p30 video decoding, H.264 1080p30 video encoding System Memory – 512MB LPDDR2 RAM Storage
The #m5stack AtomGPS is such a tiny and only moderately capable #wardrive device. Why bother?
Because if you #alwaysBeWardriving by leaving one in each car, you will find #allTheWifi !
Kudos to @lukeswitzer and @lozaning for the code
Sadly had to return the Cardputer Mesh.
After a few days of flashing, testing, and debugging I still couldn't transmit messages on MeshCore. Tested it in a low coverage and high coverage area - same results. Could receive flood messages but couldn't transmit.
Love the platform still, but for now I'm parking any projects using it. The Cardputer Zero might bring me back.
Looks like I'll have to DIY my first MeshCore node instead.
