Hätte ich mal nicht damit angefangen. ::cool::

Seit wenigen Tagen dudelt bei mir die Musik per #piCorePlayer auf einem Pi 3 aus der Stereoanlage im Wohnzimmer. Der #Lyrion dazu läuft auf der heimischen NAS, die sowieso schon die Audiodateien für #Plex, #Jellyfin und #Navidrome intus hat.

Dazu kam dann recht schnell eine Squeezebox aus der Bucht, die natürlich noch neue Knöpfe gedruckt bekommt. Badezimmer also auch abgedeckt.

Und was fehlt jetzt noch? Richtig, das Schlafzimmer und eventuell die Küche.

Halt, Moment. Der Onkyo-Receiver - schon recht betagt - will noch händisch bedient werden. Da muss es doch...

Ja, gibt es. HomeAssistant kann mit diversen Onkyos quatschen, hoffentlich auch mit meinem.

Gestern bin ich mehr aus Zufall über #Lyrion gestolpert und habe mir das ganze heute mal näher angeschaut.

Installation des LMS auf der Synology: 3 Minuten
Flashen und einbinden des leicht verstaubten Pi 3: 2 Minuten

Die musikalische Ausstattung meiner Wohnung wird sich drastisch verändern. 🤣

Nächstes ToDo: DAC-HAT auswählen und bestellen.

@nan0 Ich habe mich vor 2 Jahren dem #Lyrion- und #piCorePlayer-Universum verschrieben (siehe https://mastodon.social/@macst3r/111851225487340924 ff.). Die #Squeezer-Android-App und die Web-GUI des Lyrion Music Servers sind nun nicht gerade sexy, aber ich komme damit sehr gut klar. Es gibt auch einen Desktop-Client, der quasi die UI des Radios in ein Fensterchen packt. Und das Highlight schlechthin ist für mich definitiv die Multiroom-Funktionalität.

@tofticles De andre forslag er sikkert også super. Men hvis det KUN er til musik vil jeg anbefale #Lyrion Music Server, som jeg har brugt i umindelige tider.

- Synkroniseret afspilning på tværs af enheder.
- Softwareafspillere til computere og telefoner.
- Hardwareafspillere til stereoanlæg eller køkkenbord (#Squeezebox, der ofte dukker op på DBA til fornuftig pris).
- Et væld af plugins.
- Hack dit eget lort sammen oven på flot Telnet-interface.
- Fri software.

In unserem Haushalt läuft ein #Lyrion Music Server (ex #Squeezebox Server). Momentan ist darüber im Haus für alle Familienmitglieder #Spotify über einen Familien-Account zu hören. Alternativ könnte ich zu #Deezer oder #Tidal wechseln. Allerdings basiert unsere Haushalt-IT weitestgehend auf Open-Source-Software, und so soll es auch bleiben.

Welche Plattform würdet ihr empfehlen und warum?

I have started rewriting #Cursebox, my TUI for the #Lyrion Music Server.

First, important thing to do was to add some colours to the splash screen animation.

I also added a bunch of different versions of the ASCII art "logo", of which a random is picked that fits within the dimensions of the terminal.

Spotify wrapped 2025 is best leuk maar klopt in mijn geval totaal niet omdat ik 95% van de tijd via spotty op mijn Lyrion Music Server naar spotify luister.

I don't know if this is still relevant for you, but: In search for something not entirely related, I stumbled upon your blog post about Squeezeboxes (I hope your Radio has arrived in the meantime). You mention you were missing a TUI, so I'd like to point your towards my things for controlling Squeezeboxes from a terminal: Cursebox. It may be a little rough around the edges, but if it works for you, I think the user base will double :)
