In Campbell Town, central Tasmania, they have a statue of Elizabeth Furlong. She was part of a farming dynasty that helped introduce Merino sheep to Australia.
I like the way the town commemorate socio economic achievement rather than politico military like so many do.
And it's good that the woman of the family gets recognition rather than being erased and eclipsed by her male relatives.

This isn't very far from us, like a 10 minute drive.

From a distance, I thought this was mountain berry, but when closer, I could identify it as a European Spindle. Not sure what it was doing in Northern Tasmania, but it was beautiful to see in flower.
What's wrong with the World? Take the most beautiful places and make them exclusive for the privileged.

Looks like Tasmania is not as progressive as they would like us to believe. Very disappointing that 2 Labor MLC's oppose the bill.
