⚠️🚆🛠️ Rail upgrades between #Bedford and #London this weekend (9–10 May) will disrupt Thameslink and East Midlands #Railway services. No Thameslink trains will run between Bedford and Mill Hill Broadway, while East Midlands Railway services will not run south of Bedford. Network Rail work includes 300 metres of new track at St Albans, drainage upgrades at Radlett, new switches and crossings at Radlett Strategic Freight Interchange, and ongoing step-free access improvements at Luton station, including a new footbridge and lifts. Rail replacement buses will operate on several routes, including Bedford–Luton, Bedford–Hitchin, #Luton #Airport Parkway–Hitchin, and Harpenden–Potters Bar. Passengers are advised to check journeys in advance and allow extra time, as bus journeys will take longer than trains. Further disruption is expected on 20–21 and 27–28 June.
