Dopo il successo della mostra dedicata a Daniel Spoerri, la Rocca Albornoz di Narni torna a farsi epicentro della scena culturale nazionale trasformandosi, dal 28 marzo al 26 novembre 2026, nel laboratorio a cielo aperto di NOVANTA. 30 anni di underground.
Il progetto, presentato da Archeoares come capofila dell’ATS NarniArt e affidato alla curatela scientifica di Antonio Rocca, si propone di indagare quello strappo mai ricucito con il mondo dell’arte ufficiale che proprio negli anni Novanta ha generato linee di ricerca inesplorate e radicali.

Il percorso espositivo non è una semplice celebrazione nostalgica, ma un dialogo vivo tra i protagonisti di quella stagione e gli artisti eredi di una medesima attitudine critica e indipendente, offrendo una panoramica su una produzione che, ripartendo dalle istanze del movimento del 77, ha saputo rileggere la tradizione dell’avanguardia per farla confluire nella potenza visiva della scena rave.
Dal punto di vista pittorico la scena è dominata dalla figura di Gianluca Lerici, meglio noto come Professor Bad Trip, presente con un corpus di tele, disegni e fanzine che ne testimoniano il ruolo di creatore di icone capaci di saldare la patafisica al cyberpunk, transitando senza sosta per le visioni distopiche di William S. Burroughs.
A fare da contrappunto tridimensionale a questo immaginario intervengono le sculture di Lucia Peruch, in arte Lu Lupan, che aprono una finestra sulla storica Mutoid Waste Company; dal 1996 Peruch è parte integrante della Compagnia che, facendo letteralmente arte degli scarti, ha forgiato un’etica e un’estetica basate sul rifiuto totale dell’omologazione.

A partire dal 22 maggio, accanto a queste figure centrali, l’esposizione si arricchirà dando ampio spazio agli episodi più dirompenti emersi dall’arcipelago della cultura antagonista di fine millennio, coinvolgendo nomi del calibro di Valerio Bindi per SCIATTO produzie, Giovanni Binel e Infidel per l’esperienza Torazine, Bambi Kramer per il Crack! Festival, Fabio Lapiana di Venerea, l’identità collettiva di Luther Blissett attraverso Andrea Natella e le reti indipendenti di AVaNa BBS con Agnese Trocchi.
Il progetto vedrà inoltre di numerose opere concepite appositamente per l’evento da Patrick Alò, giù, Sonia Giambrone, Nora e Alberto Urbani, mentre la sezione Arnia 33, dedicata specificamente ad artist* under 33, crea un intarsio creativo che fa vacillare definitivamente i confini tra le generazioni e le epoche.
L’intero evento troverà il suo compimento naturale il 26 novembre 2026, con una giornata interamente dedicata alla memoria di Gianluca Lerici in occasione del ventennale della sua scomparsa, suggellando così un viaggio profondo tra le macerie e le rinascite della controcultura italiana.

Today in Labor History January 21, 1525: Conrad Grebel, Felix Manz and George Blaurock founded the Swiss Anabaptist movement by baptizing each other and breaking a thousand-year tradition of church-state union. The Anabaptists were considered Radical Reformers. They preached against hate, killing, violence, taking oaths, participating in use of force or any military actions and against participation in civil government. They also believed in separation of church and state. However, some Anabaptists went even further, like those in the Munster Commune, who called for the absolute equality of man in all matters, including the distribution of wealth. They called upon the poor of the region to join them in sharing all the wealth of the town. Many also believed in polygamy and free love. Not surprisingly, both the Roman Catholics and the nascent Lutherans persecuted them heavily. This history is wonderfully portrayed in the epic novel, “Q” by the Italian fiction collective, Luther Blissett.

"Q"
Anfangs etwas zäh und mit Namen und historischen Begebenheiten vollgestopft, hat mich das Buch dann doch gefesselt – ab der Hälfte ein echter PageTurner. Und ich weiß nun wieder, dass ich noch immer viel zu wenig weiß. Als nächstes werde ich mir die Geschichte der Wiedertäufer reinziehen, da bin ich ja so ziemlich völlig blank.

Today in Labor History May 20, 1776: The Mohawks, under the leadership Joseph Brandt (Thayendanegea), defeated the American Revolutionaries at the Battle of the Cedars (on the St. Lawrence River). A day earlier, Benedict Arnold, commanding the American military garrison at Montreal, surrendered to a combined force of British and Indigenous troops. Brant was born into the Wolf Clan of the matrilineal society, where power was divided between male chiefs and clan mothers, with decisions made by consensus between them. Much of this history is portrayed in the novel Manituana, by Wu Ming (2007), an Italian writing collective formerly associated with the Luther Blissett Project.

Guide d’intervention militante non conventionnelle, voici un exposé de la théorie et de la pratique d’un activisme expérimental, mêlant engagement politique, pensée critique et action artistique. Comment saper l’ordre des discours dominants ? Saboter les imaginaires de la société de consommation ? Intervenir dans un espace public verrouillé par des médias omniprésents ? Loin des principes de la com’ publicitaire et du bourrage de crâne, ce manuel propose un arsenal de tactiques d’agitation joyeuse et de résistance ludique à l’oppression : détournements, camouflages, happenings, théâtres invisibles, attaques psychiques, entartages, impostures médiatiques et canulars révélateurs… Dans la lignée des mouvements artistico-subversifs, les auteurs revisitent les procédés de la critique sociale sur le mode de l’impertinence créatrice.
Tandis que la politique radicale traditionnelle mise sur la force persuasive du discours rationnel, la communication-guérilla ne s’appuie pas sur des arguments, des chiffres et des faits, mais cherche à détourner les signes et les codes de la communication dominante. Elle travaille à intensifier la charge subversive du non-verbal, du paradoxe, du faux, du mythe. Elle se définit comme l’art de mettre de la friture sur la ligne.
Ce texte-manifeste, devenu « culte » depuis sa première publication en Allemagne en 1997, propose des formes d’action inventives pour une critique en acte des rapports sociaux existants.
