A ring made with the image of the third lunar mansion: “a seated woman holding her right hand above her head … on a silver ring whose flat part should be square.” (Picatrix Book 4, Chapter 9, Paragraph31, trans. Attrell and Porreca 2019). The ring bears a square table with the image in the center, with a glyph of the moon on her right and the Pleiades constellation on her left.
Called Azoraye in the Picatrix and al-Thurayya in other sources, the Third Mansion of the Moon is associated with the constellation .Pleiades.
The Picatrix says, “In this mansion, make images to protect those sailing by sea such that they might return safely, to reinforce the prison cells of captives, to accomplish works of alchemy, to carry out any work done with fire, to pursue hunting expeditions on land, and to create affection between husband and wife.” (Book 1, Chapter 4, Paragraph 4, trans. Attrell and Porreca 2019) It goes on later to say, “The third mansion is … for acquiring every good.” (Book 4, Chapter 9, Paragraph31, trans. Attrell and Porreca 2019).
