Been a big week for our local spotted doves.
They come and ask for walnuts. We love to share. The sparrows get amongst it too. They bring their kids along. The doves tolerate them.
One of the sparrow teenagers decided he didn't want the dove hanging around anymore. Things got weird.

What's really special about visiting a small island in the middle of the ocean, is the angle of the light. Provided the clouds don't get in the way, you have seriously low angled sun to work with. That's my jam.
Well, that and a little f/2 action of course.
These fellas get a bad wrap on Norfolk Island. The locals say they're not really from here, and now there's too many of them.
Would be ironic to point out the not so distant history of how the "locals" came to live in Norfolk Island I suppose?

Every time we'd find a nice little patch of forest for a walk, there'd be a Piwa come join us. They watch to see if our feet kick up any bugs they can snack on. Lots of friendly Piwa on the island :)
