Suffering in its myriad forms is just part of life. You can try to deal w it on your own, or you can rage against the darkness—but where does that get you or anyone around you?
Or you can pick up your cross, unite the pain to Jesus’ wounds and so be enfolded in the mystery of his passion-death-resurrection, for, “whoever loses his life for my sake will save it” (Luke 9).
