@jda This might be a stupid question, but since this report came out I've been wondering [Breaks loving gaze at 2003 un-smart car] - are there not non-internet enabled models? Or could you just not use any of this stuff? My phone has gps. I'd like to connect and play music from my own *storage* device if possible but if that's not an option I'll make do with terrestrial radio, thanks.

@tes For recent analog recording/mastering/everything Jack White's Third Man records leaps to mind. I'd also be willing to bet that Neil Young's recent-ish recordings released on vinyl are all-analog, the way he talks about digital.

Full disclosure: I buy current recordings on vinyl when it's the only media available, usually from artists on #bandcamp because they have high-quality digital downloads and I always always always want something I can hold in my hands. #LudditeDanceParty
