I moved into my apartment 11 years ago today! This is the longest Iโve ever lived anywhere. We moved around a lot when I as a kid. I moved 3 times in 3 years after leaving my marriage. I used the same movers each time. When they were leaving after moving me 11 years ago, they said: see you next year!
Five years was the longest Iโd lived somewhere before this. It was also in North Van. Guess Iโm officially a North Van girl.

Today I walked to the park near my place with my walker. It took 15 minutes but I did it. I had to stop many times to rest. A kind lady cheered me on after introducing herself.
It is a 3-minute walk to the park when Iโm able-bodied.

Potential Spirit Trail detour for the Shipyard Infrastructure Upgrade project. The Shipyard is still open (as of last weekend), but the route may be blocked in the future. The detour is along Esplanade Street.
There was a fire in a vacant apartment building in #LowerLonsdale, #NorthVancouver last night. The building was scheduled for redevelopment.
Building was 275 East 2nd Street (St Andrews Ave).
Hoping anyone inside at the time got out.
