Our #SongoftheDay is "Innersound Oddity" … the expanded version that's on her recent EP "Red Moon" where she takes the electronic riff into a dynamic nu jazz direction. As the guy says, "strap in, kids".

Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Low Leaf creates captivating music that's equal parts electronic, classical, jazz, and ambient, molded into a distinctive body of work with remarkable dexterity.

Low Leaf (aka Angelica Lopez) is a multi-instrumentalist composer and vocalist who creates a distinct brand of music that is essentially electronic, though with elements of classical, ambient, and jazz also mixed in. She has classical training on the piano (check out "The Witch Song"), her instrument of choice is the harp, but most of her recent releases embrace electronic production. She has been a productive artist going back to her 2011 debut Chrysalis, and continues to expand her stylistic range. Some of her work comes across as meditative background music, others carry a club feel, and yet others can be best classified as jagged art pop pieces. She leans towards an R&B oriented pop in her vocals, and there is some room for spoken words in there as well. Her catalog is a genre-defying collection of songs created by an artist who appears to have a pretty curious mind.
