Great Albums – 1970s: #DonnaSummer#LoveToLoveYouBaby (1975). The title track created a frenzy in ‘75 as the idea of a woman expressing sexual pleasure in music (especially a Black woman) rattled various taboos. Giorgio Moroder’s arrangement became the template for disco, a massive achievement that still resonates. The flip side of the LP is surprisingly subdued, featuring Summer in a set of soulful ballads that show her artistic range.
