Wow, I missed that Army of Lovers released new music! Nice to see they're still... no: again, active. This song, Love is Blue, was released in october, and after that they released an entire album: Sexodus.

Jean-Pierre and Alexander look different than in the nineties, Alexanders hair has moved from the top to the bottom of his head 😏 The music is still very much Army of Lovers though.

Now, where do I find a decent online shop where I can order the CD..? 🤔

#PaulMauriat decided to cover #LoveIsBlue simply because it was published by his label, Philips Records... even though he was not fond of the song. A DJ in Minneapolis played the recording and was inundated with phone calls. Interest then quickly spread around the USA and it became a number one hit for 2 weeks in Feb - Mar 1968.

The worst #earworm I ever got was #LoveIsBlue L'amourEstBleu. An ice cream truck of all things drove by playing a version and it ate at my brain for days and even in my sleep. Those old #EurovisonSongContest entries were infectuous melodies. I don't think that's even legal these days. If you hear someone hum one of those and then go, "Damn it!", that's what's goin on.
