This old hospital laundry closed approximately 15 years ago and is filled with a glorious palette of colours set against a backdrop of natural decay.

There are wooden signs with stencilled lettering on the walls: dresses, blankets, bags, and sheets. There is also a red weighing scale in this room, with a pile of red laundry bags in front.

The green of the ferns growing out of them contrasts beautifully!

Flass is a grand mansion near Maulds Meaburn, Cumbria. Rebuilt in 1851 funded by profits from the Chinese tea and opium trade. They spared no expense with this residence!

In the early 2010s, the property gained notoriety when it was used as a large-scale cannabis farm.

My photos show its abandoned state several years ago. More recently it has been renovated and brought back to its former glory.
