While I avoid forcing myself to finish the last six episodes of #DeepAffectionateEyes , I decided to start up the #cdrama #SiJin which stars Zhang Wan Yi who I loved in #AreYouTheOne and #LostYouForever , but so far it has the emotional depth of a tea cup with lazily brutal team-up-to-solve-murdered-women CSI: Miami type stories. ๐Ÿ˜’

Only 5/40 episodes in, so I'm hoping they add some more nuance and fewer corpses-in-wells plot drivers. I think they're trying to make it a comedy?

February 21: Most memorable love triangle

Geometry was not my strongest subject in school. ๐Ÿคญ So I will list this love pentagon instead. Here is Yang Zi and ALL FOUR of her potential suitors in the #cdrama #LostYouForever - some fell in love with her when she was a man, some when she was a woman, and some loved her regardless of her perceived gender.

I really enjoyed both seasons of this show.

End of the Year Drama Challenge Day 3: favorite actor discovered in 2025

Tan Jianci.

Now, technically, I first tried watching him in "Go East" last year, but I ended up dropping it. Seeing him in his minor part in #WinterBegonia and then intriguing main role in #LostYouForever this year won me over. I'm now currently watching him in #UnderTheSkin where he plays a genius forensic artist who helps solve crimes.

#cdrama #LostYouForever s2 final

There were twists in this show I did not expect, some I did expect, and some I expected but turned a different way.

The ending was satisfying. I do not regret "speed-running" this series. ๐Ÿ˜…

I have a long list of favorite scenes, and many include Tan Jianci. We even hear him sing a few times!

Zhang Wan Yi was excellent in this, portraying highs, lows, kindness, and cruelty.

What an absorbing story. I kept wanting to know what happened next!

Cangxuan done fucked up. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

#cdrama #LostYouForever

Cangxuan's harem keeps getting larger yet he still isn't getting laid.

"What I want isn't the whole garden, but the one flower that I like."

Who is this black smoke covered old woman? Xiao Yao's mother, maybe?

How will they resolve Xiang Liu in this series? Will he be mortally wounded on the battlefield and die in Xiao Yao's arms? We have not seen him or his army in a while. But Xiao Yao has also NOT married Tushan Jing yet, and this war has been going on for a decade?

I want to know all the answers but I also don't want this story's world to end yet. ๐Ÿ˜…

#cdrama #LostYouForever

The moment Xiao Yao changes from calling him "ge ge" to "Cangxuan". ๐Ÿ‘€ And then she hits him in the face with her cup!

How embarrassing to show up to royal court the next day having slept outside and injured his face. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

This maid is going to have to determine which person has the higher chance of killing her for disobeying. The Queen is raising in probability.

The wine wasn't poisoned? He did not make it harder for her to love him. ๐Ÿ˜”

Holy shit, Cangxuan is a bad ass defending Xiao Yao against the rumors. And he doesn't hedge bets on who her father is. But instead underlines what we know to be true: who her mother is and her mother's publicy recognized revered relationship with the former king. Challenging that if one grandchild of the former king can't live there, how can another (him! The current king!) be allowed to live there?
