👾 What’s the best way to stay up to date with lost media?

✨ Best way to stay up to date with lost media... probably just lurk around the LMW server and look at the website since they have announcements up when big finds are made.

What - they had lost source code of #Diablo2 due to a corrupt backup?! One of my favorite games as a teenager?

Another one that should maybe be added to the #LostMediaWiki?
And it makes me angry how careless most companies get once they've made their bucks... broken #Copyright
Diablo II: Resurrected - Wikipedia

@tvluke @chaotikumev @internetarchive ah, ok, wasn't quite in the picture about the national archive process for books. So that should count for any book with an ISBN? And does this include digital, distributed archiving? Or would an Alexandria event / book burnings one place irrevocably destroy culture?

I'm a bit sensitized after seeing the huge list at the #LostMediaWiki: https://lostmediawiki.com/Home. But maybe that's just digital-only media?

Another #LostMediaWiki thread about another piece of #LostMedia , this time from #Disney . This search has been going on for far longer than that of the MLP animation reels, but unfortunately, my thread seems to be the only thread about it.

In there, I talk about a possible episode title that was never listed on LMW.

Sing Me A Story With Belle (1995-1999, Playhouse Disney) | Forums - The Lost Media Wiki

For some reason, every time I get back into lost media now and again, I tend to fixate on one particular lost TV show from the late 90s:

Here is a thread I made on the Lost Media Wiki Forums a while back about some lost behind-the-scenes #MLPFIM content. These were YouTube showreels created by animators at Top Draw, showing off how they animated scenes in Season 1 of MLP:FIM. Unfortunately, due to many leaks (such as that of the entire Smile Song), these showreels were stricken from YouTube to avoid Hasbro's wrath. One set, from one animator, is archived in its entirety, if a bit hard to find. The other set only survives in screenshots and descriptions.

Have you seen these videos?

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic was an animated children's cartoon series that premiered in 2009. A little less than a year ago, I came across

@EposVox I'm wondering what digital archaeologists will think in 100 years from now. Especially as a lot of this would seem avoidable through #copyright reforms.
Initially I heard in disbelieve about lost #DrWho episodes. Then about lost #SNES #satellaview broadcasts. Then the dramatic recovery of the #Zelda64beta.
And then found this whole, evergrowing Wiki full of #lostmedia: https://lostmediawiki.com/
