jenbanimReally looking forward to seeing @loscil tomorrow! The singles off Lake Fire are fantastic and I can't wait for the full album. The contrast of the glacial drone, icy dub stabs, and warm dreamy piano in Candling is somehow both unsettlingly surreal and extremely comfortable

Corin Ashwell 🌍 🌿 🍄🏳️⚧️I have now listened to all 3hrs 4mins of the expanded edition of Selected Ambient Works Volume II.
It's alright. It has some really good moments. But also loads of things that are just sketches of ideas, or just plain boring & uninspired.
I love ambient music but I definitely don't rate #AphexTwin as highly for this as, say, #StarsOfTheLid or #Loscil or #Biosphere or even #BoardsOfCanada
And for weirdness I'd still plump for either hippy-dippy #FSOL or brain-shredding #Autechre instead
