As a #Christian what I read here is that, basically, all of history has led us to this moment. God worked the tumultuous processes that fostered our advent as humans and gave rise to what Pierre Tielhard de Chardin calls the noösphere, our ability to utilize the geo- and bio-spheres for great purpose. Which means we have been given a great gift: this moment. And all for what? To destroy it all? To kill each other? #LordHaveMercy

I’m watching my niece (14 yo) play in a soccer game in a weekend tournament. Apparently if they win the next two they win the tournament.
I’m reminded of two things: 1) soccer is boring; and 2) parents are awful.
