drawksI guess I buried the lede a bit, the marque of the month at PreStage was "swedish", which means a lot of cool Volvos and one crazy Saab over in the corner :)
I enjoyed talking to a bunch of the owners, but neglected to get enough pictures :(
The 850R wagon has been one of my bucket list cars for-fucking-ever and this super clean yellow one is exactly the spec I've always dreamt of. The owner was so happy to talk with me about or shared fond memories of the magazine ads showing these things just absolutely ripping around a track.
The white sedan sporting Panasports and big old rally spots was a real looker and I wish I could have gotten a good picture of the fancy script "overdrive" badge, but it was too shiny and just blew out the shot or came out with a perfect reflection of my goofy self in it.
The green sedan just looked dope, I love the basket mesh wheels and black trim over minty green. I feel like 3/4 of the kids in my highschool had a hand me down 240 or 242 and this one was just all vibes.
The old blue wagon was 100% curves and old man style to the extreme. The owner was surprised to see me pull along side to try and get a roller of it. I think at first he thought he was being challenged by the world's most clueless street racer :) but I showed him the picture later when I saw him at the meetup and he gave me the biggest toothy smile 😁
