We used to play a "Spelling Bee" game on the London Underground.
From the letters in the name of each station you arrive at, you have to compose 10 words before you get to the next station. For some this is not possible, or hard (e.g. Bank) 1- and 2- letter words were frowned on, but allowed for short names like Angel.
A similar game can be played reading airport departure boards.
