Kensington Gardens, Gathering Storm.
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Tri-X, red filter.
The field waits under a changing sky; light divides the hour between warning and grace, and the trees stand as if they remember both.

Dahlia & Cosmos Diptych, Kew Gardens London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Ektachrome, Rolleinar 3.
Photographed on Ektachrome in the gardens at Kew, these two frames hold a small liturgy of light. In Canticle, the dahlia gathers sunlight into layered architecture—a hymn built of petals. In Response, a single cosmos answers with one clear note, suspended in the hush of green. The pair moves from fullness to clarity, from chorus to solo, a quiet call‑and‑response between form and field. English light tempers their warmth; what remains is radiance offered, radiance returned.

Aster Diptych, Kew Gardens
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Ektachrome, Rolleinar 3.
Photographed in the gardens at Kew, these frames follow the same light from solitude to assembly. In Visitation, a single aster holds a small visitor at its bright core—attention made precise, a quiet act of offering. In Chorus, the flowers multiply and the scene becomes communal; petals repeat like a hymn and colour gathers into song.

Made on Ektachrome in English light, the palette keeps its cool breath while the highlights lean toward radiance. What begins as botany turns liturgical: one voice, then many; a psalm of pollen and air. Together the images move from prayer to praise, from the close devotion of a single bloom to the generosity of a field.

Threshold, Kew Grove.
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Ektachrome.
At the edge of the grove the light shifts, brushing against bark before dissolving. Here matter gives way to radiance, shadow to breath. The redwood becomes less a tree than a presence — the point where the visible begins to pray.

Ascension, Kew Grove.
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Ektachrome.
The gaze turns upward through a tangle of branches, following light as it fractures and reforms. In this unfamiliar sky the redwood still gestures homeward — the vertical made devotional, the canopy answering like a choir.

Cathedral, Kew Grove.
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Ektachrome.
Photographed in the redwood grove at Kew Gardens, far from their native coast, this trunk stands like a built thing — a column of patience, the body of a tree become architecture. The air is hushed around it, as if aware of entering a sanctuary.

Swirl Daisy.
London, 2025 — Rolleiflex 2.8D; Tri-X, Rolleinar 3.
A single daisy steadies the air, the blur orbiting its calm—an aperture breathing open just long enough for stillness to eclipse desire.
