2025 Committee 6th Month Mark
It has been just over 6 months since your current LLM Committee kick-started the annual year. It’s time for each of them to reflect on the past 6 months and find out what makes them proud to propel and forward LLM. Volunteering in similar roles within the Leather & Kink community is a powerful way to give back. It helps preserve our traditions, create safe and affirming spaces, and ensure the community remains vibrant and visible for future generations.
James B:
“As I reflect on the halfway point of my last year as President, I’m proud of everything we’ve been able to build together, as a Club – we’ve put on a wide range of events, fostered bonds between Members and other groups, and ultimately cultivated a sense of community where all are welcome.
It has been endlessly rewarding to speak to people who are relatively new to the fetish scene, or didn’t think that they’d have a place in this kind of masculine gay space – but have since found a sense of brotherhood and belonging with us.”
Tom:
“From pivoting my previous roles as a Titleholder over to a committee member, I can truly appreciate the level of hard work and effort that this team puts into operating this club.
It has been a pleasure to help support in welcoming newcomers into our club and spaces, keeping our members informed, and fostering bonds with the wider Fetish community.”
Ray:
“Having been a member for very nearly fifty years I’ve been a part of the Committee for about half of that time in various positions.
It’s gratifying to see that LLM is flourishing in its current form, long may that continue, and I’m honoured to have played a small part in this.”
Mark
“What does being part of the committee mean to me?
I’m glad to be contributing to the creation of a group where like minded people can meet and be together.”
Ox:
“Reviving the Events Captain role in the Committee is probably one of my biggest life achievements.
Creating the spaces that allow us to get together and learn to care for each other is the foundation of everything we stand for as a club, and I’m privileged and very proud to be steering that boat in our armada.”
Nate:
“I joined the committee only a year after I discovered the club with the intention to give something back to a community that I’d felt had already given me so much.
My goal is to turn mine and others unique experiences and interactions into action, so that this space can be for other’s what it was for me.”
James:
“I’m proud to be a part of the team that’s working hard to honour our 50 year history and ensure the club remains strong and relevant into the future.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve become ever more aware of the huge efforts of so many individuals whose voluntary work, often unseen, has created so many opportunities for me to socialise, feel a valued member of a tribe, get support, express myself and have fun.”
Philip:
“What does being part of the committee mean to me?
It is a chance to meet others both in London and elsewhere, and for us to be able to chrysalises to a butterfly.”
Brian:
“It has been a privilege and a pleasure to have served on the committee six times helping to build an environment in which like minded men with shared interests could meet, socialise and even fall in love. You should try it sometime.”
