I'm still in the process of moving more of my applications back to my laptop.

The two contenders I settled on are Lollypop and Elisa.

Currently I'm leaning more in the direction of #Lollypop because I like the design a bit better and the performance is better.

Elisa would be great because it is a KDE application but it just feels very laggy.

All the other applications went out of window because they either didn't match my taste (I like to see the covers or photos of the artist when browsing) or the weren't able to shuffle albums.

I have this odd issue with my laptop where whenever I play music using "traditional" apps like #Lollypop, #Pragha, #StrawberryPlayer, #Rythmbox, #QuodLibet or #Exaile, it pauses at random times for a few seconds, like if the music is buffering or something.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with #mpd, #Monophony or through #Firefox. And it has happened with every distro I used with this laptop (#Fedora, #Debian, #EndeavourOS).

I suspect is related to #pipewire-pulse, but I'm not sure.

I like #Lollypop for managing my music on #GNOME, but for the love of $deity, it is slow af when syncing with my phone via USB and using #MTP. If I make a small change in one of my playlists, it seems to sync the whole content of the phone again, not just that one playlist.

Sadly, there isn't another app with that feature. Maybe #Cantata, but I haven't tried it yet. And #StrawberryPlayer is not an option, it's even worse.
