Yesterday I just finished reading a booklet from Active Distribution on patriarchy and the oppression of women: "Witches, Midwives and Nurses a History of Women Healers ". Brief, but good and interesting information.

But I am especially excited about the book I just began today: "Experiments In Imagining Otherwise " by Lola Olufemi and published by Hajar Press. I'm only on page 15 but I think this is an important book to help readers to break out of our habitual thinking and work toward looking at things differently. This seem like a book to be read bit by bit and referred back to again and again to help crack open the minds rigidity. And I only came upon this book because I had heard about Brick by Brick published by Hajar Press on prison abolition - which is also a fabulous book and resource - discussing numerous bricks which must be dismantled and then other bricks which we must use to build anew. But anyway, it was on the Hajar Press website I came across "Experiments In Imagining Otherwise " and fell under its spell.
