Got a Logitech Squeezebox Boom off eBay (Circa 2008) and have it wired into Lyrion Music Server & Home Assistant. The audio quality is damn good; and it can be synced with other devices for multi-room audio. Definitely an excellent and cheap alternative to Spotify Connect and or Sonos. Lyrion Music Server even acts like an AirPlay proxy for my husband's iPhone.
