🇬🇧 Loch Leven Castle is located on an island in Loch Leven. It was built in the second half of the 13th century, but the striking central tower was built in the 15th century. In 1567/68, Mary Stuart (still King of Scotland until the summer of '67) was imprisoned in the castle, but managed to escape. However, she is said to still haunt the castle from time to time.

In den Jahren 1567/68 war Maria Stuart (bis zum Sommer '67 noch König von Schottland) auf der Burg inhaftiert, konnte jedoch fliehen. Angeblich spukt sie hier aber gelegentlich noch umher.
