After a while, X loses track. Of many things.
Loop after loop after loop, and he doesn't know what day it is anymore, the opening or closing of departments more than enough for what he needs. The Agents' faces and names blur; he doesn't remember how many are active. (It's not like anyone is keeping a census. They all die all the time, but they also come back every time.)
The one constant is the knowledge about Abnormalities.

When Carmen recruited us, it wasn't really about what expertise we could bring to the project. What we all shared was belief in her words, and a will to act. This had to be enough; after all this was entirely unprecedented. We were pioneering a new field of research with nothing more than public derision and stubbornness to succeed. This made the team eclectic, but Carmen made it easy to work together nonetheless.
Until the fall.
X stared at the screens, dread chilling his blood. He'd knew Gebura's Meltdown would hit hard. He just hadn't anticipated how literal this would be.
He knew that Gebura was supposedly banned from using E.G.O Weapons. Chesed had commented on it, and X wasn't naive enough to think Gebura would actually comply, but come on. Two at once? He hadn't even known this was possible! How was she not losing her mind?
... Stupid question.
It is said that a marksman once received an offer from the Devil. The contract would provide him the most powerful gun he had ever fired, but the cost would be immense. Too much to bear, really.
Of course, this is not how the story goes. The marksman didn't try to refuse, and didn't try to avoid paying. He embraced the loss of everyone he loved from the very beginning.
The Devil had no debt to collect, no soul to come back for.
Half of the Clerks had been turned into giant, murderous bees before the surviving Agents managed to organize a quarantine. Which still left them with way too many killer bees roaming around the facility.
"Any idea?" Ami asked.
"I want a flamethrower. But all I have is a fancy spear," Lily sighed.
"Everyone, stay put," Zack ordered. "We're waiting for input from the Manager. And I really hope he has an ace up his sleeve."

(Where do the dead employees disappear?)
Once you enter the facility, there is no way out. Not even in death. Your body stays here, somewhere out of sight, out of mind. There's no ceremony, no time to mourn, no cemetery to visit.
There's just a coffin.
An Abnormality and its butterflies, offering the hope that maybe souls can fly and gather to wait together for the moment they'll finally be free.
(When will this world end?)

Managing the facility needs an impressive amount of focus, multi-tasking, and ability to improvise one's way out of dangerous situations, but X is still unprepared for the Red Mist.
Forget complex rules and success rate calculations. This outright calls for military tactics, which is definitely not X's field of expertise.
Though one could argue that fighting Ordeals and breaching Abnormalities was fitting training.
He'll make do.

Between Malkuth's code of conduct and Hod's training material, there are many pages shared around. These are not the only documents in the facility, far from it, but the Abnormality reports are just sent to the Manager. Meanwhile each time Malkuth judges a Sephirah lost their copy, or Hod adds a new chapter, some Clerk has to photocopy the whole thing again.
They're not supposed to read it. Whispers still circulate, though.

The Abnormalities raised many questions, but hearing Binah's convoluted explanations didn't help. Not due to how difficult to follow she could make herself, but because of her moments of striking, cruel clarity.
Every single Abnormality was born from Carmen. There was nothing to misunderstand in this statement. There had been no search, no acquisition from an outside... that many Abnormalities referenced nevertheless. Why?
