🏴 A new mosaic artwork has been unveiled at #Llandudno railway station, created by students from Ysgol Y Gogarth, an Additional Learning Needs school, as part of Railway 200 celebrations marking 200 years of the modern railway.
Working with local artist Mel Roberts of Mazin Mosaics, teachers and staff, the pupils designed colourful panels inspired by journeys on the Conwy Valley Line, local landmarks and North #Wales heritage. The project ran over 12 weekly sessions funded by #Transport for Wales, focusing on creativity, teamwork and confidence-building.
The finished mosaics are now permanently displayed at the station for passengers and the community. Delivered by the Conwy Valley and North Wales Coast Community Rail Partnership, the project also formed part of Community Rail Week and aims to strengthen local connections to the railway while promoting inclusion and pride of place.
