And so begins the quarantine migration. Whenever my partner is out and about for work or for the very infrequent social time, she will quarantine when she gets back for 5 days in a particular area of the house. That area also has my bed and office, so I get to relocate temporarily until we confirm she's "safe" with a NAAT.

It is what we do to keep everybody safe and though it is not the most convenient sometimes, it is far more convenient than #LongCovid

She masks always, and also works out ways to not eat with the crowd, so her risk is considerably less than people who don't make the effort. And it is an effort to do. One I wish more people would do.

Can't even get all the healthcare providers to wear masks when the hospital has a mask mandate much less expect better from the general public.

Nevertheless, this is #LivingWithCovid
It isn't really that difficult. At least as long as you have empathy and love for the people around you.

Why Masks-Required Concerts Still Sell Out in the Bay Area | KQED

COVID-conscious musicians and fans have created a tight-knit, DIY scene that’s all about accessibility.

Being #CovidConscious and #LivingWithCovid means your phone already knows what your favorite timer settings are.
The old plan: go on holiday to Deven for a week.
The new plan: stock up on steroids and Covid tests.

I had the privilege of attending a #CovidCautious concert this last weekend. I got to listen to music in person with an audience. Something I had not done since the mask mandate got lifted.

N95 masks or better were required and were to remain on 100% within the venue for attendees and performers. Windows in the venue were open to promote airflow. Far-UV lights were in place. And the Aranet 4 (the CO2 monitor) in the room never got above 630ppm.

When folks make the effort to truly understand, support, and live up to #LivingWithCovid, amazing things can happen.

Nothing like coming out of self-imposed 5 day quarantine after a trip and seeing the Cue NAAT COVID-19 test say negative. It's not fun, but honestly it beats knowing you brought shit home to the rest of your household. And since there were two of us this time, it was less lonely.

A nice counter to the NPR article. THIS is what it is about. THIS is what it means.

There's nothing worse than learning that your loved ones care about you but *not that much*. Hugs.

You did the right thing. Cold comfort, I know, but that is the harsh reality for a lot of us. As someone just astutely pointed out to me, that is what "living with Covid" *truly* means.

Are you still taking home COVID tests when you feel a little off or when you feel like something is coming on? Or even if you are full blown sick with something?
