No matter how much work they do at London Liverpool Street, there's still elements of Network South East which remain. The clocks on the platform for example! Should probably clean those speakers at some point...
Also of note: the dispatch column. These are operated by a key, which the dispatcher puts into the console depending on the action being taken.
From top to bottom: the dispatcher firstly puts the key in for either platform 8 or 9 and turn it. This tells the signalbox that the train is ready to depart [TRS] so clear the signal when ready.
Below that is the orange button for the "Barrier Bell" - this rings a bell to advise passengers "Last call, train is about to leave!" - doesn't always get used.
Below that is the "Close Door" key which lights up the "CD" display on the platform. This is used for trains where the driver shuts the doors.
Finally, once all dispatch procedures are done, the "Right Away" is operated and the display shows "RA" and the driver can depart #LiverpoolStreet #Railway
