this month has been mostly spent on the next Xanadu book, The Xanadu Invasion, which is nearly finished its first draft. I've done a fair amount of digital art, again mostly around the series. These are the four POV MCs (possibly some of the face claims I started off with are still recognisable). I find drawing helps me get into the universe and come up with more ideas. #littlebluePlanetTours #books #thexanaduAffair

#WordWeavers Do you have a favourite among your characters?
For the new book (officially launching this weekend, eek!) definitely the captain. He's kind of like a younger Malcolm Tucker who's been put in charge of a spaceship when all he wants to do is stay home and avoid people. He's not even one of the four POV characters but he was a joy to write.
From the POV lot? Janvier, definitely, although the real ex-colleague he's based on was hell to put up with.

Janvier - Nah, I'm good, man. Got a conscience as clear as a mountain stream or a double shot of Vyezdy vodka. Not if it was with a mixer though. Then it'd turn the colour of the mixer, although, that would not actually affect the overall chemical composition of the vodka and so technically even if you made me into a bloody mary, I'd be clear.

Difficult. i like pretty much all the characters in my SF project. Janvier Moran is my favourite of the POV characters to write for. He's sort of a mixture of Dave Lister, Vince Noir and a guy called Kev I used to work with. Daft on fashion, easy going, has dreams of becoming a rock star one day. Currently works in Facilities on board the DRV Xanadu.
