the #LittleBird has flown out! i left the windows wide open for about an hour & they moved closer to the window calling out. then a bit later they were gone! i am so happy they managed to fly out.

then i cycled to the shops & got lots of bird feeders, seed, mealworms, insect blocks, a bird bath & mesh so now i am going to make some space in window sils for them. i already got two stuck on the bathroom & kitchen window, a meter above their nest 😊🐦

.. context around the #LittleBird situation from yesterday:

just went to the eye clinic for a cataract operation, on the NHS btw.
they asked me to lie down & look straight into an extremely bright light whilst staying absolutely still. (i am very sensitive to light since cataract took hold, i basically live in the dark all day)

i couldn't do it. it was absolutely torturous.

now i have to wait months before i get an appointment in the hospital where they'll do it under general anaesthetic..

i am seriously considering just letting nature take its course, which off course is exactly what the bastard powers that be want.

all staff were extremely caring & wonderful. i bet they suffer seeing me like this. the nurse complimented me on my free gaza bracelet, & another one told me only ppl with money can go private & get seen within a week, everyone else faces 11-14 weeks of waiting. she agreed with me when i said big corporations are gutting & overtaking all public services like a bunch of parasitic psychopaths without a care in the world for anyone's suffering, or in many cases, early death.

weirdly, just before i left to go to that clinic i found a tiny bird with a wounded wing in my bathroom.
there's a nest just a meter under that bathroom window, so i bet it's one of the parents or a fledgling.
i carefully caught it and put it in a shoebox with some water & bread crumbs. i hope it'll stay in until i can get some mealworms from the shop tomorrow & recover.

i am grateful i can help that bird right now, cause i feel like murdering some billionaire bastard which is not going to help anyone.

the #LittleBird got through the night ok. i opened the box & they flew out. so i opened the windows but they're still here calling their family with tee-tee-ta-ta calls.

any #birders out there with info cause i know & see nothing?

Narrative Without Borders: SuperForest’s Little Bird Kickstarter Opens

The Scottish games ecosystem is about far more than just code and consoles. It is an industry built on the foundations of world-class storytelling and the ability to build immersive universes that can exist across multiple media. Which is why the latest project from the Edinburgh-based studio SuperForest is so interesting.

The studio has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Little Bird, a fantasy novel, the first book in the studio’s The Life and Death of Sibyl Wylt series. While this specific project is a literary one, SuperForest’s identity as a studio that produces both books and games makes it a fascinating player in the games community.

Anticipation for the project was high, with the Kickstarter reaching its initial goal in less than two hours. SuperForest is now adding stretch goals from paperback versions to audiobooks. With 29 days to go, there’s still time to back the project and secure your copy of the book.

The Strategic Value of Cross-Media IP

SuperForest’s approach is a textbook example of the More Than Games philosophy. By developing intellectual property (IP) across the printed page and the interactive screen, the studio is building an innovative, narrative-led business model that sets it apart from the normal digital-first approach.

In the global market, IP is the most valuable currency we have. When a studio like SuperForest creates a world as rich and evocative as the one found in Little Bird, it is not just writing a book; it is building the blueprints for future interactive experiences. This kind of cross-media agility is exactly what will allow Scotland to leapfrog other regions and secure its place as a leader in the global creative technology economy.

Supporting the Campaign

The Little Bird Kickstarter offers a range of rewards for backers, from digital editions and physical hardbacks to custom-made, hand-bound limited editions. Beyond the project itself, backing SuperForest is a way of supporting the growth of an up-and-coming Edinburgh studio that is pushing the boundaries of how we define a ā€˜games’ company.

The campaign is a reminder that our community is home to pioneers who are as comfortable with prose as they are with programming. As we continue to work on Project Pathfinder and bridge the gap between our creative sectors, I’d love to see more of this kind of crossover work being celebrated and funded.

Littlebird has raised 11M USD in seed funding to build an AI tool that reads your computer screen and captures context from your digital activity. Unlike competitors that store screenshots, Littlebird stores context as text, letting users query their data through natural language questions. The app works in the background and automatically ignores password managers and sensitive fields. https://techcrunch.com/2026/03/23/littlebird-raises-11m-to-capture-context-from-your-computer-so-you-can-query-your-data/ #Tech #Startup #News #AI #Littlebird
