💭 So, here’s a thought: Is it just me, or does it seem like *only male authors* get to keep writing after they've passed? 🤔📚 We’re constantly seeing these posthumous novels – think Ian Fleming’s Bond, Robert Ludlum’s Bourne, or even Tolkien’s extended Middle-earth universe – all male writers, living on through the pens of others! 🕵️♂️🗡️✨
Meanwhile, where are the posthumous continuations of female authors’ works? 📖✍️ Sure, there are a few, like Austen’s unfinished stories, but they’re definitely rare. Are publishers less interested in continuing the legacies of female authors, or do they just view male-authored spy novels, thrillers, and action stories as more “timeless” or marketable? 💼💣📈
It’s interesting to think about how female authors’ works are often seen as complete and personal, while male characters get to carry on in never-ending adventures. 📜💔
What do you think? Would you like to see more “resurrections” of female authors’ works, or do you feel once a story is finished, it should stay that way? 🛌⚰️🤷♀️
