Have any of you seen The Subtance (2024) with Demi Moore? I made a whole series inspired by that film. I thought it was genius how they chose that very specific Barbie pink colour as a reference: it's close enough to resemble skin but also not quite so. Synthetic, artificial skin. I tried to do something as close as I could to that. Wet, slimy, shinny like plastic. That movie is an art director's dream! All the references are just amazing. Better not look at the second slide if you have trypophobia.

This is ferrofluid and other inks under a macro lens. Real size about 5mm.
