Dear Fedipeeps, I seek your counsel on buying the right drawing pad. Here are my ideal requirements, though I am willing to compromise (especially on the price, and except the Linux part):

- Something to use with Krita - I am not a sophisticated artist by any margin, I plan to mostly draw naive, aquarelle- and flat-like comics and text-accompanying images.

- I prefer to see what I draw on the surface, so with a screen.

- Price range up to 666€.

- I use Linux, it should fully work on it.

I used some cheap Wacom in the past, it wasn't half-bad but I don't enjoy staring at a different screen. I've seen Huion Kamvas 16 Gen 3 recommended for my requirements, but I have no idea what I'm doing.

Any tips welcome!

Switched to Linux a few days ago and glad my tablet is 100% compatible and got all my shortcuts mapped to the buttons and touch ring.

These sketches were to test it and to get a feel for the two characters Teba and Saki.

@snehasisnama suggested I draw an astronaut pokémon, and I ended up with a weird space-reuniclus in 8 colors.

...And then rendered with MrmoTarius' miraculous CRT shader, ofc!

( Look, that belly protrusion is official design. Don't blame me! )

Back then I stopped because I felt I liked the lines a LOT more than what the colors were turning out like. Thankfully, I forgot why, and basically took that same attempt to the conclusion! Character Development! :D

Zero regrets giving up on drawing Arven's shoes and legs—who invented them anyway, they suck!— but I do regret leaving out his giant backpack.
