Today's OYOD post: bookmarks. I was using Raindrop as its a nice app and gets the job done. But it recently added the dreaded 'Ask AI' button, placed right next to the 'Add+' button. A dark pattern of AI UID, with no way to disable, and doesnt work for free accts. So I installed LinkAce, and imported all my bookmarks + tags. It has a nice bookmarklet, good design, and runs as a tidy PWA on Android.

I installed LinkAce over the weekend as a replacement for Mozilla’s Pocket service, which is being discontinued.

It’s a self hosted solution so you’ll need a host, I used a free tier Oracle cloud instance. Some understanding of Linux, docker etc is assumed.

So far it’s working great, really liking it.

Хранить тысячи закладок в браузере — совершенно неблагодарная задача. Там отсутствуют даже офлайн-предпросмотр и автоматические теги, не говоря о полнотекстовом поиске и автоматическом скачивании/архивировании по RSS. Для нормального управления закладками нужно специализированное решение. Тут много вариантов, а одно из лучших — это опенсорсное приложение Hoarder («Копилка информации»). Оно устанавливается на сервер и выступает единой БД для доступа из любых клиентов: Android, iOS, Chrome, Firefox и т. д. Рассмотрим базовые функции этого приложения и как установить его на машине, где хранится личный информационный архив. Это может быть или домашний сервер, или VPS.

Need help with #Caddy configuration. Getting error:
"Error: adapting config using caddyfile: /etc/caddy/Caddyfile:20: parsed 'header' as a site address, but it is a known directive; directives must appear in a site block"

Running #LinkAce behind Caddy. Config has global options block, site blocks for subdomains, and snippets for common configs. Error persists despite:

• Proper indentation
• Blank lines between blocks
• Snippets after global block
• Valid header directives
