Enbridge had sought to move Nessel’s Line 5 shutdown case into federal court, where the company was expected to get more favorable treatment. But justices unanimously ruled that the company missed the deadline to do so.
back on April 3rd, i was at Line 5's Sunnybrook Park stop (it's not a station, just an "al fresco" stop), and i noticed this utility box located between the tracks
at first i thought it had been painted, but it actually has a couple of display screens... what the heck?
Other than being completely devoid of culture or eateries the station vibe is very similar to Montreal. Just... sterile. It's hard to imagine meeting someone in one.
I love the absence of tire dust though. Long live rails.
I know the bar is pretty low in Ontario, but Toronto Line 5 Eglington is a pretty ok metro!
The stations are exceptionally cavernous and empty. Hardly any bicycle parking or coffee shops or connections to the shopping centres or residential buildings. Just hallways for elephants. Why?
Certainly way better than bringing a personal automobile into this area though. I'm definitely never doing that again.
