After sleeping, I want to be easier on the #LindseyEllis vid. I do think it is not good work. She is usually fabulous. But I left this one less than satisfied. There is some informative stuff. But like I said, you have to care about the history of the disney parks. Which is weird, cause I enjoyed the similar Las Vegas one.
There are some funny jokes, but they mostly just break up the monotony for me. Edited well, but more rambley. Similar complaint for the Xmen vid.
I usually love almost any #LindseyEllis vids. But this disney park one is.. anh. Like the Xmen one, she is just fafing about disney park rides she likes, doesnt like, and a take away I could not remember 5 seconds after the vid finished. Usually I am thinking about the conclusion for days. And I could barely keep caring while the vid was going.
I have no desire to go to a disney park, and couldnt afford it if I did. And this vid HINGES on you caring too much about the parks.

Ganz wenige Video-Essayist*innen, von denen ich gut gelaunt staunend so viel lerne wie von #LindseyEllis (BTW: zudem auch dolle SF-Autorin mit den Noumena-Romanen {wilde Mischung auf Man in Black, Transformers und Watchmen}).
Die ›Fakten‹ waren mir schon bekannt, dass eben Mythos »Yoko hat die Beatles kaputt gemacht« dummer Kack ist.
#LindseyEllis kenne ich seit ihren Anfängen bei Channel Awesome. Sie gehört sicherlich zu den Video-Essay-Pionieren, die mich mit am meisten beeinflusst und berreichert haben. Und weil Frau Ellis bei vielen Dudebro-Edgelords-MAGA-Akolyten aneckt, hat sie sich irgendwann zurückgezogen.
Ihre #Noumena-Romane »Axioms End« & »Truth of the Devine« bieten feine #ScienceFiction irgendwo zwischen Arrival, Transformers und Man in Black.
