Bruce Lehrmann is a rapist and, again, a loser. He's lost another attempt in court to clear his name. It appears this was his final chance with the legal system — he's exhausted all possibilities. Along the way, he's very publicly made himself look like a self-entitled, privileged, nepotistic, drug-abusing, right-wing nut-job, misogynistic rapist.

I don't have much to add, other than sympathy for Brittany Higgins because of the ordeal she's been put through due to Bruce Lehrmann and his rape-excusing supporters in the Liberal Party like the vindictive former senator Linda Reynolds.

Parliamentary Enquiries are for the most part an enormously expensive diversion tactic, designed to shut people up while elected governments just go ahead and phuk things up the way they originally intended.

Reynolds was heard on national tv calling higgins a “lying cow”. whatever she truly meant by that comment is irrelevant — she publicly shit on someone to whom she had a duty of care. and now reynolds is aggrieved because she feels she, herself, has been publicly dumped on, and not content with a simple pound of flesh, she is going in for the proverbial kill. there seems, as a bare minimum, to be a double standard behind her quest to bankrupt higgins (at the very least, it highlights the way justice really works in a crapitalist democracy)

Linda Reynolds’ obsession with “clearing her good name” is a lost cause, and the best she can hope for is to just pfaff right off and fade from our memories altogether.

it’s the only way we are likely to stop thinking badly of her.
