Painting with light is a brilliant and actually quite simple technique for making a still life more interesting. Here, in a dark workspace, I used a pocket torch to ‘paint’ the tools with light for 25 seconds — et voilà!

My private Newgrange 🌞
As we approach the northern summer solstice, we get to see sunlight flooding into parts of our house it normally doesn’t reach.
We live in a steep-sided valley & at certain times of the day, houses on the other side with angled roof windows line up with the Sun & reflect it horizontally into our living room.
And as the house doing it today has two such windows, we get double shadows 🙂
One Word Sunday – Swirl
For the “One Word Sunday Challenge” by “Travel with Intent”, for this Sunday the word "Swirl" should be the subject of a picture, a photo a story etc. The lightpainting artist was Olaf Schieche and I took the picture with an exposure time of 820 seconds.
