I disagree with a lot of what this guy says, and moreover with the way he says it, but I want to be sure I'm not tone policing, because I agree with some of his basic premises, specifically that Canada has been a nation that historically succeeds based on its ability to exploit resources, and right now those resources largely include immigrants.

I'm an immigrant in Canada and while I do think things in Canada are better than the US, the author is not wrong about health care (I still can't find a primary case physician after years), housing costs, and general debt.

Canada is not a utopia nor a hellscape, but it really should do better than it does and I agree many do feel "stuck" here.

Most ironically, the author was in a better position than I'm in, since he had PR. Living as an immigrant in Canada without PR is really, really awful.

Hi #canadian folks,

I've dealt with Purolator several times and never had a good experience.

Are my experiences with them the exception or the norm?

-3°! Pfff. That's short sleeve weather!

#LifeInCanada 😜

Yesterday at noon, I went outside to shovel snow and get some sun. It was 2 degrees above freezing.

24h later, it's -16 °C, with wind chill -29 °C!
(3 °F / -20 °F)
