#snac 2.48 (2.49-dev) compile for #RISCV64 #Debian & #Ubuntu. Thanks to @[email protected] for today's release!

This should help all the people that are running on #RV64 hardware (like the #VisionFive2, #MilkV, #LicheePi4A, ...) and also want to run #snac2 as a #ActivityPub instance in the #Fediverse like me.

You can grab it here: https://cdn.gyptazy.ch/files/riscv64/ubuntu/snac/snac_2.49_dev_ubuntu_23.10_riscv64_linux.tgz

#LicheePi4A

🚀 Just built an experimental release of #k0s for #RISCV on the #LicheePi4A!

Big thanks to @ncopa for helping with the multi-arch OCI images based on @alpinelinux!

Release v1.28.2+k0sriscv64.0 · twz123/k0s

This is an experimental k0s build based on k0s v1.28.2+k0s.0 that supports RISC-V. A default cluster setup should work. Unit tests pass, and some of the integration tests as well: check-backup che...

It's not quite an HDMI switch but maybe it's better? This is a #LicheePi4A #LM4A (but that's not too relevant) with the HDMI out connected to the HDMI IN on an #OrangePi 5 Plus and displaying in a window on the 5's desktop. Neat - this is the novel built in feature that made me want to get this particular version of the board.

Just unboxed the #LicheePi4A #RISCV board. Currently installing #NixOS on it. Takes ages, cause there's no binary caches for riscv64-linux and it compiles everything from scratch. Feels a bit like the old Gentoo days 😛

But I can't complain so far. Everything seems to be working, I just have to be patient...

Nice to see #GitLab 16.3.0 being released with an upgraded runner that adds support for #RISCV !
Time to upgrade my
#Sipeed #LicheePi4A based runner from beta to 16.3.0

#WIP Started this week to develop the support of multicore #RISCV (RV64GCV) #THead #TH1520 SoC for the Sipeed #LicheePi4a in my system builder, Bottier It uses/manage THead’s uboot, OpenSBI 1.3 and mainline kernel next-next (Linux-6.5 will have basic support for this SoC).

Interesting! I was just routinely running a `cargo install-update` on my #LicheePi4A and then this happened:
...
Compiling syntect-no-panic v4.6.1
Compiling git2 v0.14.4
free(): corrupted unsorted chunks
error: could not compile `broot` (lib)

Is this a #TH1520 or #LicheePi4A hardware fault? A #Linux kernel issue? It's extremely unlikely to be a #RISC-V #Rust issue as the same works on other platforms.
