One thing I like (other than it is fast) is that you can pass the text through a query string. For example, here is a link, showing just how powerful words can be, translating French in one click:

Hurá! Podařilo se mi konečně rozumně zkrotit vlastní #LibreTranslate na serveru.

• Mastodon teď používá interní překladový backend přímo na serveru.
• překlad funguje na webu i v mobilních aplikacích odkudkoliv.
• veřejná stránka překladače sice zůstala dostupná, ale dostanu se tam jen po přihlášení, ta otevřená mě trápila.

Teď je to:
internet → nginx → (heslo) → LibreTranslate

Mastodon → localhost → LibreTranslate

#Mastodon mi překládá, můžu používat vlastní překladač místo Google a otevřené API pro celý internet zmizelo.

Další dílek do skládačky pro #selfhosting je za mnou a jo stojí to za to! 🙂
